Ratcliff & Roper have a policy of ongoing commitment to the Environment and reducing our Carbon Footprint. We are continuously working to achieve a higher environment standard by developing our business, service, products and processes to minimise the impact our business has on the environment.
All our printing plates are free from developer or replenisher which means clean running and low chemical consumption.
We use the latest, premium Saphira vegetable ink series on our presses. They can be run with low levels of alcohol whilst still maintaining optimum performance and high colour intensity.
Most of our clients are keen to use paper which is either recycled or from sustainable forests. To confirm our commitment to this end we are proud to have achieved FSC® Certification.
Recycling is at the forefront of our responsibility to the environment. From waste paper to plates we aim to regenerate as much waste as possible.
FSC® stands for Forest Stewardship Council®. The FSC® are an international non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting responsible forestry. FSC® certifies forests all over the world to ensure they meet the highest environmental and social standards.
Forests are inspected and certified against strict standards which are undertaken by independent organisations that are accredited by the FSC®. In order to be given FSC® certification a forest must be managed in an environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable manner.
Products printed with paper from FSC® forests are marked with our ‘tick tree’ logo. When you see this logo you can be confident that buying print from Ratcliff & Roper won’t mean harming the world’s forests.
